Origin of the World

Theories of Human Nature

It is not an amazing thing that our world survived ancient chaos and destruction. The creation of this planet and the universe is something that simply happened, and ideally, should be accepted and not questioned.

The universe may or may not have been brought into existence by the work of a creator, and in that light, it also may or may not have been brought into existence by natural causes.

Because the world was once and still is full of atoms, particles, and single cell organisms, does not mean that the reason the universe and life exists is based solely on this framework. It may have been created in a way that we have yet to understand, a way completely different from what we believe.

We spend too much time trying to understand where we came from. We take steps backward, we riddle our minds with endless possibilities that solve nothing. Our heads turned, looking back, ignoring the path forward, knowing that we may never find the true answer. To accept that the world simply exists, that we are here and everything else is where it is supposed to be, is crucial towards advancement.

Our world, without a doubt, is marvelous in its existence. However, its origin is a topic that leads only to debate, never leading to a real conclusion. Accepting that things are what they are because that is the way they are supposed to be leaves room for inquiring into more urgent topics.

Acceptance is a key to understanding. The debate of origin will truly never be answered until someone, from somewhere, holding an unquestionable authority, is able to step forward and say, “This is how things came to be, this is why they are and what they are.”

The answer and that figure will appear only when time deems that it is proper. That idea may not even reach listeners as a simple statement. It may be an image, an artifact, a mere sound, that holds the answer to everything. It will be undeniable, and people will accept it as their answer.

To accept is to know that a natural creation of the universe and a supernatural creation of the universe are possible. To accept is to understand that even a combination of both may be possible. To accept is to know that something unimaginable may be possible.

One must also keep an open mind when accepting. One must understand that in order to advance, looking backwards may be necessary. One must also understand that at times looking behind them will not be beneficial towards advancement. One must be able to distinguish between these two and know how to utilize both prior knowledge and new questions.

Understanding cannot be achieved without maintaining an open mind. Acceptance can be viewed as a manifestation of understanding. To accept that there may be no answer creates strength to develop new questions and seek new answers.

To understand origins may be crucial for advancement, however, too much time spent looking in the direction of our beginning may keep us from finding when our end may be. The universe has given us a stage to work with. It asks no questions of us, so why must we be so hungry for knowledge and question it?
