DJ Hadoken’s Perspective:
The Bible
The Bible
Theories of Human Nature
Written by DJ Hadoken
The Bible itself can’t be taken as a literal telling of history, but more as a compilation of stories that address our origins and nature. It contains contradictions, but it is a book that sets down the principles of which society can draw from and find the roots of morality and kindness.
However, humanity is infinitely inquisitive, and humanity questions the Bible. Humanity questions everything. Humanity is incapable of accepting something based on faith. Humanity blames God for its own failures. Humanity refuses to even believe that God created it with free will.
Humanity is illogical; humanity cannot blame itself. Members of the human race try to trick themselves into happiness by denying faith and diverting blame. An eternal struggle and pursuit of happiness exists, hindered by the thirst for knowledge that is science. Ignoring that true happiness is what lies within not ignorance, but acceptance and faith.
As you can see, this is a subject that can be highly debated from many different perspectives. The origin of God, for example, is a seemingly endless debate. God may exist, though He may exist in a way we cannot imagine.
The creation of the universe is attributed now to the Big Bang theory, but who created the Big Bang? Who created the reactions that caused the Big Bang?
Some search for valid evidence of the existence of a single Creator, though they may never find what they seek. People search for scientific evidence, solid facts to prove the existence of this one supreme Being, but it may be impossible. For this Being may not be a work of science, nor something that can be explained in any rational terms.
Humanity itself may not even have the existential “right” to prove or disprove the existence of this Being. It may be futile to try to prove or disprove His existence. For, if humanity were to disprove the existence of God, what would it gain? The world would succumb to utter hopelessness. People would value little what they do during their lives, knowing that they will not pay any consequences after death.
In contrast, what would humanity gain by obtaining solid proof of the existence of God? There would always be someone trying to disprove this evidence, and people would still be doubtful.
Humanity is not capable of universally believing in the existence of a single Creator. Perhaps this is because humanity does not desire to believe. That may also be the reason why He has not revealed Himself to us. Or, He may have already, but humanity chooses not to listen or believe.
There is always someone eager to disprove any “miracle”. The death of one man, who so impacted the history of our world, is not even enough to make humanity believe. The fact that the entire world knows this man’s name to be Jesus Christ is not enough to convince the skeptical. Our history has been so influenced by this one man’s life, yet humanity is not willing to believe.
