Guy the "good-cool" Manager has this to rant:
Wow, it’s been a while since I lasted updated the Funk.
Let’s see. Umm, yesterday was hella-cool. I went to GameWorks in Sawgrass Mills with my cousins and the place is WAY better than the one we usually go to.
You see, my cousins scored two coupons for free 1 hour game cards and the only GameWorks they like is the one in Sawgrass Mills. Luckily, they had a DDR 3rd Mix Ver. Korea 2 with 4 songs for 6 credits, while Dance Dance Revolution USA was only 3 songs for 6 credits.
So, we went there and let me tell you, the people there are weird. Nice but weird. For one thing, nobody at the GameWorks we usually go to has ever yelled from behind me “YOU ROCK, MAN!!” Seriously. Some guy saw me do Afronova and get the last part of the song perfectly. He’s standing on the USA machine and screams that I rocked. No lie. My cousins can testify to that.
Anyways, there were only a few people that could actually pass a song on SSR. One of which was Jewish. I’m not racist here. I’m telling the truth. He was wearing a yamaka (yarmulke?). So don’t say I’m racist. He was able to do part of Afronova but failed later in the song.
Umm, there were like two freestylers. One of which only knew knee drops. The other was a bar hugger (person who persistently holds onto the safety bar while playing) but did a few bar hops during Dynamite Rave on Trick.
Crowds are easy to get at that GameWorks. But it seemed to me that the crowd was more interested in the girls playing on Beginner on the USA machine. Easily cured with my Dynamite Rave doubles.
As the 1 hour game cards were wasted into nothingness, we were getting ready to leave when a fat old lady walked up to my uncle and gave him SIX more 1 hour card coupons! It was insane! The things were going to expire the next day and no use wasting them so we decided to stay longer.
Now, the people that had watched me play since the beginning were starting to say to the others, “He’s been playing there for 2 hours now!” Mind you, we got there at about a quarter to 7. The people grew weary when I began to show signs of weakness like CRAMPS!!! (Note: The last time I had cramps from playing DDR was during the Islands of Adventure trip.) But I kept on playing, through the pain and stuff...
This is too long. Okay. I got to play for another 2 hours since my uncle gave away some of the coupons to other relatives as they came along. I got my name in the #1 spot in the DDR 3rd Mix Ver. Korea 2 machine three times (Special, Konami Original, Favorites) and then left GW at about 11:30 PM.
Went home. Ate a banana. Some ramen noodles. Soda. Then went to sleep. The End!
Also, this may be the last Funk update of the year if no one else updates.
Which they probably will. :-P
