Guy the "Take It To The Floor" Manager has this to say:
Woah!
Like DJ Wang has established, yesterday all of the RIA DJs (yes, the Raccoon did show during his break from the naughty book store), The Funk Mistress, Da Man, and myself went to GameWorks (a.k.a. DDR Landia).
The only reason most of us were late was because we had to (A) wait for DJ Skittles to show up at DJ Hadoken’s house and (B) had to head to DJ Fuji’s place to work on the RIA CDs.
If you ask me, it was DJ Wang’s fault for scheduling it on a day where we were supposed to WORK ON THE CDs! We are working on a VERY tight and sensitive time frame. *Ahem*
Anyways, as I was saying, we went to go play DDR.
I would like to say that I’ve never been harassed while playing DDR, not even on my trip to Japan. But there they were, these ghetto punk-wannabes trying to cramp my style.
Well, while I was playing in Double Mode, they were like, “Let me help,” in a Hulk Smash-ish type of voice and then one of them proceeded to step on an arrow.
Mind you, that I was on the left, while he pressed arrows on the right. Then when I moved over to the right, I stepped on his foot. Not hard, but just hard enough to add to my combo. Then they just left, I think.
After that little incident, I decided to show off my time-tested DDR skills and chose Dynamite Rave as my next song. I would like to add that I was about to do a trick that I have only done twice, and the first time trying it, I slipped and landed on my shoulder. Well not really, but it did put a strain on my arm.
Anyways, there I was, doing nothing fancy (excluding the walking technique), and then the part where the singer goes, "Jump! Jump! Do your thing..." comes up, out of the blue I took it to the floor! Hand planted on one arrow, one foot landing on another arrow, and another foot pointing up in the air.
T’was a little thing that might not seem very hard to do, but it’s certainly crescent fresh and the little crowd thought so, too.
Well, I did that again MUCH later in the afternoon after DJ Hadoken had done his S’vine technique on Boys, I believe. Which, by the way, is a really nice way to get a crowd.
I would like to also give a REALLY BIG congrats to DJ Wang for completing Luv To Me on Normal with a "AAA" rating on his SECOND TRY! Way to go, grasshopper. Make your teacher proud.
Well, I think that was about it.
Oh, BTW, we noticed that one of DJ Hadoken’s pet cockatiels had "cleaned" the other cockatiel so much that its neck was like totally de-feathered and bare.
DJ Skittles kept repeating, “Dude! You can see his spine! Dude!”
Well, that is all.
