BlindPanzer has this to say:
Ok, so I know it’s kind of hard to narrow it down (it was very tough for me) but if you had to narrow it down, what would be your top 10 favorite albums?
.....and for you people out there that like downloading single tracks off CDs (I’m looking at you, DJ Hadoken) just mention the CD where it’s from, I guess.
THEY DON’T HAVE TO BE IN ANY ORDER EITHER

I guess I’ll start.
Savatage - Streets: A Rock Opera
One of the most complete and satisfying albums ever made. This is the definition
of timeless and I can assure you, people will still enjoy this album in the
future (when robots rule the earth).
Kamelot - Epica
My personal favorite concept album, something new with every listen.
Pain of Salvation - The Perfect Element, Pt. 1
Is this even metal?! Who cares! This is some of the best music EVER made!
Iron Maiden - The Number of the Beast
Their album “Killers” comes close to this album, but when it comes down
to it, this is my fave Maiden album and the one I usually put on.
Blind Guardian - Nightfall in Middle-Earth
Rhapsody wishes they could do music like this. A concept album that does not
become cheesy even with the subject matter being Tolkien’s
The Silmarillion (the nerd bible, literally) <- I know this because
I’ve read it.
Annihilator - Alice in Hell
Canadian thrash rules....
Megadeth - Rust in Peace
Nothing (and I mean nothing) that Metallica did will ever come close to
Megadeth’s opus.
Anthrax - Among the Living
Whenever I think thrash (in its purest form) I think of this album.
Symphony X - Divine Wings of Tragedy
Amazing guitar playing: check. Awesome singer: check. Best 20 minute song you’ll
ever hear: check.
Dio - Holy Diver
The fact that they play 7 of the 9 tracks off this album in every single concert
should tell you this is Dio’s best album...Now it’s your turn, whoever posts in this board (those being TornadoChaser and DJ Hadoken) =p
TornadoChaser comments:
Hokay, well, I’m in studio class, and I require a break, so I’ll give this a go. I’ve been marinating my ideas for a little while now. It was indeed quite difficult, and I had trouble avoiding soundtracks. Still, I have populated my list, and here I present it:
The Strokes - Room On Fire
Lostprophets - Start Something
Lostprophets - The Fake Sound of Progress
Florent Pagny - Florent Pagny
Jimmy Eat World - Bleed American
Pleymo - Rock (French Rock)
Thirty Seconds to Mars - 30 Seconds to Mars
Manau - Fest Noz de Paname (French Rap)
Tarkan - Karma (Turkish Pop)
BlindPanzer responds:
I used to like Lostprophets when they didn’t sound like anything else on the radio...
DJ Hadoken Exlamparaaghis comments:
Alright, finally responding to this post. In no particular order:
DragonForce - Sonic Firestorm
DragonForce - Valley of the Damned
Sonata Arctica - Ecliptica
Sonata Arctica - Silence
Super Eurobeat Vol. 120
(Specifically disc 2, because it’s the highest energy SEB nonstop I have yet
to hear).
Super Eurobeat Vol. 100
(More great nonstop SEB.. 120 and 100 are better than a lot of the other
nonstop mixes because they don’t slow down as much for the more boring
songs).
Rhapsody - Symphony of Enchanted Lands II - The Dark Secret
(Because the more I listen to it, the more I actually feel what’s going on
in the story and the more nerdier I feel).
Cascade - Viva Nice Best
(The best hits of Cascade. =) They are j-pop, not metal).
Yeah most of it is recent stuff.. but I don’t have my albums with me so I can’t check through them.
And for the last two:
Will Smith - Big Willie Style

I can’t think of all the crap I listen to. But I know what I DON’T listen to.
I DO NOT listen to Avril Lavigne. And I don’t listen to fake punk (okay, maybe a little fake punk. But I KNOW it’s fake punk).
KanyeKat comments:
Iron Maiden - The Number of the Beast
Anthrax - Among the Living
Metallica - Kill ’Em All
Motörhead - All the Aces
Ozzy Osbourne - Bark at the Moon
Black Sabbath - Paranoid
Led Zeppelin - Roots: The Early Years
Kanye West - The College Dropout
Pink Floyd - The Wall
Alan Jackson - Drive
KanyeKat
BlindPanzer responds:
Wow. “Kanye” you have good taste (sans one). Good choices. You have my respect, unless of course you are Kewl Kat...
The Funk Mistress comments:
If it was Kewl Kat there would have been spelling errors. Lots of them. And country music (“country”).
I agree though, the choices are good.
BlindPanzer comments:
“Kanye” are you sure you like those bands? You don’t seem like the metal type...
