DJ Hadoken has this to say:
Finally, updates. We are happy.
Well, I have barely a month left here. In America.
My dad wants me to get a laptop instead of taking Ultimo (my desktop PC). But I think I want to take Ultimo. I don’t have enough money for a laptop. In any case, I will try to update the site when I’m there.
So, I’ll be staying with a host family in rural Japan, and there is another exchange student that is going to the same school as me. Interesting. That other student has his own host family, I’m assuming. The host family I’ll be staying with is a mother, son and husband. I don’t know much about the husband.
School starts August 24 but they want me to be there around August 18. But I’m not sure if I’ll have my student visa ready by then... but I’ll try my very hardest.
For the past two weeks, I was attending a summer learning and culture academy in a city up north. It’s a really old place and lots of so-called “important people” are related to there. It was a very tranquil atmosphere.
I took three classes... one was a really messed up “Mandala” class that was about Asian symbols... but it was
just bad. I went to one and a half classes...
Why one and a half? Because during the second class I broke out laughing in front of this CEO of some company. The class was supposed to be “meditating”, but then the teacher suddenly started chanting, and it sounded really messed up, so I started laughing uncontrollably and then walked out after that.
The people in that class were seriously lamesters. I saw that CEO at a musical performance the next day on a date with a woman who he met from that class, who was married (not to him). The CEO guy was married too. Bad people.
Aside from that, I also took a creative writing class and a Russian fairy tale class. Both of those were good. I enjoyed the fairy tale class more than the creative writing class.
Though, in the creative writing class there were some interesting people. This one guy really hated his life and his wife’s family. He kept talking about them and his kids. He used a laptop and had this insane laugh. Everything he wrote about had to do with how bad his life was.
It was a great place. Peaceful. Lots of bats and wild rabbits.
No worrying about being dastardly deeded (unlike in Miami).
I’m gonna go.
Just thought I’d let people know how I was doing, if anyone is interested.
Don’t eat babies.
